Come out with the family and “Try a Tri!”. The Metamora Park Foundation is again helping to make the 4th Annual Lake Santa Fe Triathlon another success. Although this race was created by a child, it is intended for all ages and skill sets. James, age 13, truly loves this sport and designed these races for either children or adults who want to be active.

On Sunday, August 5, 2018, three race skill levels are offered. The Medium and Maximum races have the bike portion off-road on LSF's trails for a mini-Xterra feel. The three race sizes are:

• Mini – 50-yard lake swim, one-mile bike and 500-yard run.

• Medium – 100-yard lake swim, two-mile trail bike and three-quarter mile run

• Maximum – 200-yard lake swim, four-mile trail bike and one-and-a-half-mile run

Transition opens at 7 a.m. and the first race will start at 9:30 a.m.  A race preview will be held the evening before. T-shirts are guaranteed to those who sign up before July 19, 2018. Finisher medals will be given to all participants.  There will be podium finish awards with multiple age categories and male/female first through third place awards in each of the three races. You can review a video demonstration for medium bike and max bike courses on the Facebook page. There is no race day registration.

Proceeds go to support the Black Partridge Park trails. Almost $1,500 was raised in last year’s event, and this year’s goal is to surpass last year’s amount, so please help to make it a reality!

Not interested in racing? Volunteers and Sponsors are also needed.
