The KBStrong Foundation Board is hosting the First Annual BROWNFEST in memory of Coach Brown on November 2 at the American Legion in Washington and everyone is welcome to attend!
The event will include a Bags Tournament, 50/50 raffle, auction items, live music, cold drinks and Jimmies Pizza food truck will be providing food.
When Coach Brown wasn’t coaching or teaching, he loved to listen to live music, play bags and fellowship with family and friends. The KBStrong Foundation has created an event to celebrate him, doing exactly what he loved.
The Bags Tournament final registration will be at 9:30 a.m. that morning, with the tournament beginning at 10 a.m. and running until 2 p.m. For more information on participating in the Bags Tournament, please call or text 309.258.1510.
The first band, Hot Sauce Universe, will perform at 3 p.m. followed by the Dan Hubbard band at 4:30 p.m. The final performance will be Stone Cold Cowboys beginning at 7 p.m. and running until 11 p.m.
The KBStrong Foundation has partnered with the University of Illinois College of Medicine. All money will go towards Glioblastoma brain cancer research. Doctors from the College will be in attendance and speak on some of the detailed statistics of this dreadful disease.
