Woodford County work to last through October

EL PASO – The Illinois Department of Transportation announces that pavement repairs on Interstate 39 in Woodford County begin March 16.

The work involves patching and resurfacing from mileposts 19 to 23, between El Paso and Minonk, and will require lane closures in both directions. The project is expected to last through October.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. When feasible, use of alternate routes to avoid the work area should be considered. Drivers are also urged to pay close attention to changing conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers, as well as equipment.
