On Tuesday, July 23 from 5:45 – 6:45 pm, the Morton Economic Development Council (EDC) will help share the story of local Dairy Queen legend Jim Carius at the EDC Morton Mixer at Schooners, 630 W. Jackson St.
At this event, Leigh Ann Brown, CEO of the Morton Economic Development Council, will host a “fireside” chat with Jim Carius, owner of Morton’s Dairy Queen. Carius will be sharing his story of their longtime successful family business. Drinks and food will be available for purchase.
Throughout the evening, there will be opportunities for connecting with local entrepreneurs, business mentors, service providers and others who can support business growth. All are welcome, but anyone facing a business challenge, exploring a new business idea, or considering their options for opening a new business are highly encouraged to attend.
“Dairy Queen has been a staple of the Morton business community for decades and the wisdom the Carius family has passed along for generations and continues to be relevant as the business environment changes,” says Leigh Ann Brown, CEO of the Morton EDC.
This event is organized by the Morton Economic Development Council founded in 2008 to positively affect the future of Morton and sponsored by Witzig Financial Strategies.
