On Friday, May 22, Morton will have the opportunity to virtually gather for an evening of fun, music, art and celebration through the new iteration of Fourth Fridays: Fourth Fridays Gone Virtual.

In years past, Fourth Fridays has been a spring and summer, downtown Morton event welcoming the community to shop and dine local while enjoying an art market, live music and other unique, family-friendly experiences.

To continue a creative way to experience the community and support and shop local during these times, event organizers are embracing online to move forward with Fourth Fridays Gone Virtual. Those that would like to join in on the virtual fun will be encouraged to order delivery or a curbside meal from a local restaurant, shop online at their favorite stores, and spend the evening enjoying art, music and other fun performances.

Each Fourth Friday Gone Virtual event will include a variety of different entertainment, experiences and demonstrations. For the May installment, the evening will kick off at 6 p.m. with a paint-with-me evening with Canvas Connections (take home kits are available by order on the Canvas Connection website). At 7 p.m., To the Moon and Back will be hosting a young adult book reading, and acoustic duo Black Velvet will perform. At 9 a.m. the next morning, BRelentless Training will lead a morning exercise routine. Those who would like to tune in are encouraged to view a full list of virtual activities on the Tazewell Art Loop Facebook page and the Morton Economic Development Council website.
