“Taste & Tour,” a family friendly drive-through warehouse tour with carryout dinner, will be held on Saturday, July 16, and will benefit all three Central Illinois Midwest Food Bank locations. Attendees can learn about the Midwest Food Bank mission with an interactive drive-through experience at any of the three warehouse locations.

The 15-30-minute drive-through tour experience concludes by receiving the catered to-go dinner box. Dinners may be picked up at either the Normal, Morton or Peoria Midwest Food Bank locations. The price for a meal box for two adults is $50, with children’s meals available for $10. Meal pick-up will be arranged when tickets are purchased, and will be 4 p.m-7 p.m.

“This creative event is a fun way to learn about food insecurity and the MFB mission,” says Monica Scheuer, Executive Director of Midwest Food Bank Peoria. “All ages will enjoy the immersive experience.”

The catered meal for the Peoria and Morton locations is prepared by Grace Catering. The meal for the Normal location is prepared by Annie’s Eats.
