The Morton Branch of AAUW (American Association of University Women) partnered with Morton Public Library to offer the July session of GEMS (Girls Excelling in Math and Science). Girls, grades fourth through seventh, learned about 3D Pens. The girls created 3D Eiffel towers, glasses and flowers.
The next GEMS session will be held on August 20 at the Morton Public Library from 4-5:30 p.m. Judy Griffin, AAUW Volunteer, will present Microscope Mysteries and I Spy Scavenger Hunt. Participants will need to bring a digital camera or iPhone for the scavenger hunt portion of the program. All girls, grades 4-7, are welcome, but must pre-register through the Morton Public Library at http://www.mortonlibrary.org.
