Colonel Jori A. Robinson, US Air National Guard, received a promotion to Brigadier General on September 18, 2021, in Annapolis, MD. General Robinson is the newest general promoted by the U.S. Air Force. Her promotion occurred on the 84th birthday of the Air Force.
Attending the ceremony honoring General Robinson were approximately 100 guests at the historic Maryland Inn in Annapolis, including family, friends and staff. Family members attending the promotion ceremony included Doug and Alison of Morton, parents of Colonel Brett B. Robinson (US Air Force, ret.), in laws of General Robinson, and Gayle and Lonnie Burgess, Jori’s parents. Also attending were sons Kiernan, Grayson and Roarke Robinson, and brother Mark Baylie. Other family members who were in attendance were Cheryl Sutcliffe and Robin Sutcliffe, aunt and cousin, respectively.

Brigadier General Robinson graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia in 1999. She received her commission as a distinguished graduate from the Reserve Officer Training Corps. She has served in intelligence positions at her unit and wing, Numbered Air Force, Major Command Headquarters, Air Force Headquarters, and DoD Intelligence Agencies. General Robinson has served as a cyberspace operations officer at the Squadron Group, Wing and Combatant Command level. She has supported operations in the European, African, Middle East and Pacific theaters and has deployed in support of numerous overseas operations.
