They say that when good things happen you should share them with others, and that is exactly what happened this past week.  To best understand the story, you must go back to Thanksgiving Day in Hopedale where each year, Hopedale Medical Complex (HMC) offers free holiday meals to the public.  While the meals are free, many of those who live in the community and surrounding area choose to leave a donation for their meal.  This year HMC collected $1066.00 in donations.

Now, fast forward to last week, when Hopedale Medical Complex had the pleasure of donating that $1066.00 back to the Hopedale Rescue Squad on behalf of the local community.  Emily Whitson, COO shared, “There is not a better organization to donate these funds to this year.  We are appreciative of the Hopedale Rescue Squad and the important work that they do in our community.”

The Hopedale Rescue Squad is currently comprised of 14 volunteer EMT’s and First Responders.  This year the squad is celebrating their 50th year of service in the Hopedale Township Area.  Upon receiving the check, Brian Reed, Chief of the Hopedale Rescue Squad commented, “These funds will be put to good use for those we serve in this community.  We are thankful for the donation.”
