Bethany Community Church invites you join them as they “Run for the House”. This event is scheduled for Saturday, August 17, 2019. The race will take place on a 1.5 mile cross country style loop course around the property of Bethany Community Church, 27577 Dutch Lane in Washington.

The event will include a timed 10K and 5K Run, an untimed 1-½ Mile Walk and a kids’ obstacle course. The walk begins at 8 a.m., kids’ event at 8:30 a.m., and 10K/5K runs at 8:45 a.m. Jogging strollers are welcome, but for safety reasons pets are not allowed on the course.

Register by July 27 to receive the early bird pricing. All 5K, 10K and walk participants will receive a race shirt. The kids' run shirt is optional. Costs for the 5K and walk are $30 before July 27, $35 after; 10K is $35 before July 27, $40 after; and Kids Run is $15 with race shirt, $5 without.

The “Run for the House” event will benefit the local My Sister’s House, a transitional home that provides a safe and transformational atmosphere for single women and their children.

Awards will be given to the male and female winner in both the 5K and 10K, and to the top male and female runner in each age bracket. All Kids’ Run participants will receive a ribbon. Age brackets are 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over.

Their goal is to communicate, facilitate and demonstrate the love and care of Christ to the women and children living in the home while providing tangible assistance to meet their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. My Sister’s House is funded solely through donations and is staffed by a team of volunteers.
