The Washington Panthers varsity football season continued on Saturday, November 13 as they hosted Crete-Monee at Babcook Field for an IHSA 6A Quarter Finals game.  Crete-Monee received the opening kick-off and scored on their first possession of the game with a long touchdown run to go up 7-0. Crete-Monee would maintain the lead the entire game.  The Panthers fought back from an early 21-3 deficit before going into the half down 27-17.  Washington added one more score in the third quarter as Noah Berlett passed Isaac Mapson for their second scoring connection. From there it was all Crete-Monee as they led 47-24 at the end of the third quarter and won with a final score 53-24.  Quarterback Easton Harris (above) fires off a pass just before taking a hit from a Crete-Monee lineman late in the third quarter.
