WCHS wins 12-0 victory
Washington’s Easton Harris is mid-pitch during the second inning against Metamora. The Washington Panthers’ Varsity Baseball team hosted the Metamora Redbirds Monday evening, May 9, 2022. In conference play, the Panthers came into the game undefeated while the Redbirds had two losses. Washington held Metamora scoreless in the top of the first. In the bottom of the first, Metamora got into trouble with a combination of walks, two Washington hits, and one error as Washington quickly led 5-0. Washington secured seven more runs the following two innings while holding Metamora scoreless. The Panthers won in five innings with a final score of 12-0. Washington’s Easton Harris continued his conference game trend of not allowing any runs as he pitched the entire game, including 10 strikeouts.
