Can you imagine life without strawberries, coffee or chocolate? Or fruits, vegetables and grains? Everyone has pollinators -- bees, butterflies, birds, etc. -- to thank for these and many other plants. But these pollinators are in peril and need your help. Come learn who these pollinators are and how you can help them survive.
The public is invited to an evening with Sherrie Snyder from “Wild Ones: Illinois Prairie Chapter” on Thursday, July 11, at 7 p.m. at Maple Lawn Gathering Place in Eureka. She will be presenting a talk entitled, “Inviting pollinators to your yard with native plants”. Come and invite your friends to this timely and educational program.
Maple Lawn Gathering Place is located at 700 N. Main in Eureka. For further information, please call Bill Walter at 309-369-5124, or Mary Hutson at 309-261-7528.
The evening is sponsored by Prairieland Gardeners, Eureka.
