The Germantown Hills Chamber of Commerce and the Metamora Area Business Association will be sponsoring their 11th Annual Community Prayer Breakfast on Wednesday, October 2 at 7:30 a.m. in the Metamora Fields Golf Club.  Tickets are $25 and may be purchased at the Heartland Bank locations in Metamora and Germantown Hills.

There will be singing performances by Christian vocalists The Kramer Family, and the Metamora High School Madrigal Singers.   Keynote Speaker is Illinois State Senator Chuck Weaver.

Senator Weaver understands job growth must be his primary focus as he represents the 37th District of Illinois, and works to make fundamental changes that reverse the decline of our state.   In that regard, his focus is workforce development, and his passion is for quality education of our children.  That passion led to his appointment as the Republican Spokesperson of the Senate Education Committee.

Chuck received his law degree from DePaul University, and then joined his family’s Kentucky Fried Chicken business, operating their 30 restaurants.   His reputation for operations and employee development led to the position of the American Kentucky Fried Chicken Franchisee Association.

He has also been active in real estate construction as well as an investor in start-up businesses, and involved in more than 50 limited liability companies.  He donates his legislative salary to local charities, including his work with “Leaders Change Illinois”, which launches new projects aimed at improving our community.  Through that program, Chuck and his wife, Laurie, have now mentored and funded more than 90 $1,000 grants to 90 young leaders who are launching new ideas to impact our community.

Senator Weaver is most proud of his family – Laurie, his wife of 33 years; three children and two grandchildren.  He resides on the family farm in North Peoria.

This Annual Community Prayer Breakfast is always an uplifting event and an opportunity for the community to come together for a very inspirational morning.   Tickets need to be purchased by September 27th, so don’t hesitate to get yours today!
